Over 40 Years of Professional Service

The Philosophy Documentation Center has been serving the philosophical community on a non-profit basis since 1966, earning a reputation for excellence with the publication of essential reference materials, scholarly journals, conference proceedings, and instructional software. We provide a full range of electronic publishing services, including digital workflow management and support for a range of both institutional and individual subscription options. This work includes customized electronic conversion services for print journals or series. Other available services include subscription fulfillment services for print or electronic journals, membership services for professional organizations, typesetting and graphic design services, and marketing services. In addition to supporting all levels of teaching and academic research in philosophy and related disciplines, we try to expand the reach of philosophical work outside the classroom with the distribution of philosophy magazines, videos and audio books, and the sponsorship of the Award for Excellence and Innovation in Philosophy Programs.
