When can you have a car at Usafa?
1.8 PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES (POV). C/Cs may own/possess POVs while attending the Prep School. C/Cs will have to dispose of the vehicle prior to Basic Cadet Training, if offered an appointment to USAFA, as 4 degrees (freshmen) are not allowed to have vehicles.
Is Usafa north gate open?
From Interstate-25 take Exit 156 (North Gate). This entrance is open to visitors from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm every day.
Can you date an officer in another branch?
Those engaging in fraternization can be brought up on Uniform Code Military Justice (UCMJ) charges. A relationship is considered fraternization even if the parties are in different units, different commands, or even different branches of service. In short, it extends to all officer/enlisted relationships.
Is it illegal to marry for military benefits?
A military contract marriage is the practice of a service member marrying someone (sometimes another service member) just to land additional military benefits. No surprise, scam marriages are totally illegal.
Does Usafa use weighted GPA?
Adjustments are made to the PAR for students attending unusually competitive schools with a rigorous college prep curriculum and/or where honors and advanced placement courses are NOT weighted in the school’s calculation of class rank and/or GPA.

Do Usafa cadets get summer break?
No they don’t. The typical cadet gets the Thanksgiving holiday, two weeks for Christmas, one week for Spring Break, and three weeks off in the summer.
Where is the ID card section at the Air Force Academy?

What forms of ID are required for a full-time college student?
In addition to the two forms of ID required for a dependent ID card a full-time college student over 21 but younger than 23 will require a letter from the school on letterhead stating mbr is a full time student w/an estimated graduation/completion date. CACs: Must fill out a lost CAC form from Security Forces and have 2 valid forms of ID.
