Does UC Berkeley accept pass no pass?
Currently six UC campuses now allow a Pass grade in major preparation for courses completed spring 2020. Currently, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara have agreed to accept Pass or Credit grades in major preparation completed in spring 2020.
Does pass no pass look bad?
If a student thinks she/he cannot get a good grade (A or B), the pass/fail option is good. When employers look at the transcripts, they usually see the GPA and do not care about the individual grades. Hence it is important to keep a good GPA; best to take pass/fail then risk a C or D grade.

How do I withdraw from a course at UC Berkeley?
If a student’s enrollment was sponsored by a third party, or if they are attending UC Berkeley, they will not be able to request a withdrawal through their student account. They must submit the Sponsored and International Student Withdrawal form before the course end date.
How long does it take for UC Berkeley to approve grades?
UC Berkeley Extension has the right to approve or deny any appeal. The review process can take 3–4 weeks. Grades are final when submitted by the instructor and may only be changed when computational error can be evidenced. There will be no substantive reevaluation and students are not permitted to retake final exams.
