How do I get from Perisher to Blue Cow?
To spend the day in Blue Cow, you can jump on board the Skitube from either Bullocks Flat Terminal or Perisher Valley and arrive at Blue Cow Terminal. From Blue Cow you then have direct access to ride at Guthega! You can also ski to Blue Cow from Perisher via Perisher Express Quad Chair or Interceptor Chair.
Is Skitube free from Perisher to Blue Cow?
If you are ok to drive to perisher you can catch the ski tube for free from perisher. Between blue cow and perisher there is no fee. If you get the ski tube from bullocks flat to perisher/blue cow you have to pay the return fare which includes park entry.
Is Blue Cow good for beginners?
You’ll find lots of beginners here, as the terrain is exceptionally wide and flat. The traverse to Guthega is from Blue Cow. This is an easy gentle gradient for beginners and intermediates.

Are chains required for Perisher?
If you’re driving to Perisher from Jindabyne it’s an easy half hour drive in good weather; keep in mind that you’re legally required to carry properly fitting chains in any vehicle other than 4WD’s within the National Park. The National Park entry fee is $29 per day for each vehicle.

To start skiing and boarding, you’ll need a lift ticket. This comes in the form of a Perisher Card which scans before you get on our lifts. Buy online in advance (at least 7 days ahead) to SAVE up to 30% on your lift tickets.
Do you need a 4WD for Snowy Mountains?
While 4WD and AWD vehicles are not required by law to carry snow chains, it is recommended they do so due to the high incidence of vehicle accidents in Kosciuszko National Park.

Driving here is a unique experience and you can come across some challenging conditions.
The first stop is the underground station at Perisher Valley and then continues on to Blue Cow through another tunnel through the Perisher Range. Please note that Skitube services are not currently operating.
What is the Perisher Blue Skitube?
The Swiss-designed railway provides easy access between the Alpine Way at Bullocks Flat and the Perisher Blue ski resort sites of Perisher Valley and Blue Cow Mountain. The Skitube passes through two tunnels and three stations, two of which are underground.
How high does the Blue Cow railway climb?
To Blue Cow the line first drops downgrade, then climbs 1.3 kilometres on a 3% gradient, then climbs at 12.5% to the terminus. The railway reaches a maximum elevation of 1,905 metres above sea level at Mount Blue Cow station.
