Yes, two-strokes are still lighter than four-strokes, at least in this case. The YZ250 is 10 pounds lighter than the YZ250F. So the phrase “all-new” doesn’t apply here.
Can you run 15/38 gears on a YZ250?
As an extreme example, I ran 15/38 gearing on my 2002 YZ250 at a roadcourse out here called Buttonwillow. It was with 17″ wheels /tires, so the overall ratio is a little lower than if I had done it w/ the stock 19″.
