The ACFI Coordinator is a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse who has demonstrated competency in nursing practice. In consultation with the Facility Manager, this role drives the management of the Aged Care Funding Instrument in order to maximize revenue and ensure care plans reflect current care needs.

Selection Criteria

  1. Preferably a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA qualification, although we will consider applications from ACFI specialist Enrolled Nurses.
  2. Substantial experience working in an aged care environment and contributing to accreditation processes.

How often is Acfi done?

You submit the ACFI Application for Classification form to Services Australia. Ongoing monthly ACFI subsidy payments are then paid through Services Australia. You must then conduct an ACFI appraisal: at least 7 days after the resident enters your care.
