We welcome all visitors to the garden, however, it should be remembered that the primary role of the Gardens is as a scientific collection and therefore we do not allow dogs, picnics, bicycles, fishing, ball games, jogging or running, nor the playing of musical instruments or recorded music.
Are dogs allowed in the National Botanic Gardens?
Dogs are not allowed into the Botanic Garden on a daily basis (with the exception of assistance dogs), but every Monday and every Friday is Doggy Day, and the first weekend of each month. On Doggy Days, you are welcome to walk your pooch in and around the Botanic Garden.
