What is RDI certification?
To become certified in Relationship Development Intervention® (RDI®), consultants must undergo training and supervision in the United States. Certified consultants have experience working with children and hold a basic degree in psychology, speech pathology or a related field. Consultants must recertify each year.

Who created RDI?
The RDI program was developed by the psychologist Steven Gutstein in the 1990s. Gutstein studied the means by which typical children become competent in the world of emotional relationships.
What is the difference between RDI and RDA?
RDA is supposed to give information regarding the recommended dietary allowance and RDI, recommended dietary intake. RDI values reflect the adequacy of nutrient intake sufficient to meet the needs of 97-98% of healthy individuals.
At what age is ABA therapy most effective?
ABA training is most effective if therapy begins when children are younger than age 5, although older children with ASD can also benefit. ABA helps teach social, motor, and verbal behaviors, as well as reasoning skills, and works to manage challenging behavior.
Does RDI work for autism?
RDI helps people with autism form personal relationships by strengthening the building blocks of social connections. This includes the ability to form an emotional bond and share experiences with others.
Is RDI same as DV?

What is Canada’s live-in Caregiver Program?
Canada’s Live-In Caregiver Program (LCP) is for foreign nationals who wish to be employed by a Canadian citizen as a caretaker/nanny for their children or someone with disabilities in the home. This would provide a direct pathway to permanent residence.
Can a live in caregiver apply for permanent residence in Canada?
A live-in caregiver can apply for permanent residence after they have worked in the LCP for 2 years or completed 3,900 hours of work. They must complete the hours of work within 4 years of the day they entered Canada. They can apply for an open work permit at the same time as permanent residence.
Who can apply for the live-in Caregiver Program?
The Live-in Caregiver Program is closed to new applicants. You can only hire a caregiver through the program if you have: found a caregiver who already has a work permit in the Live-in Caregiver Program and who is looking for a new employer, and
Do you need an LMIA to be a caregiver in Canada?
No LMIA required for the pilots. You need to get a positive LMIA from Service Canada and the caregiver must apply for a regular work permit. You can decide, with the caregiver, if they live in or out of your home.
