Can friends stay at Navy Lodge?
All U.S military personel and their family can stay at the Navy Lodge with their military ID. Your friend is allowed to stay because you will be concerned her sponsor during the time you are here. When you are ready to book your reservation, please call either 1-800-NAVY-INN or 305-292-7556.
Can I bring a guest on base?
The short answer is YES! Most people can visit a military base with no issue. However, it’s not like visiting grandma where you can just pull up and walk in. You must bring all required documents and be willing to submit to a background check.
Is alcohol allowed on Dam Neck beach?
Dam Neck, part of Naval Air Station, Oceana, is located just south of Virginia Beach along the Atlantic Ocean. The area has just over 3 miles of sandy beach accessible for those with military id. Alcohol is permitted on this beach and there is a store that sells beer and wine.

How do I get from Norfolk Airport to the military base?
If flying into Norfolk Airport check with the military transportation desk by the rental cars desks as there may be a shuttle bus heading to one of the local Navy installations. The BEST way to get to the Norfolk Air Terminal is off Granby St through Gate 22 (gate is 24/7).
Are the Navy Lodge reservation centers pet friendly?
