What is a trail camp?

Trail camps are for backpackers and are the most primitive camp sites in the park. These camps offer the opportunity to see the remote interior of the park while exploring many miles of backcountry trails. All trail camps have untreated water, except for Grasshopper, and a vault toilet.

Are pets allowed at Butano State park?

DOGS are permitted in the campground and in paved developed areas, providing they are controlled at all times by an adult holding a leash no more than six feet long. Dogs must be confined to a tent or vehicle at night. Except for service animals, dogs are not permitted on park trails.
