Is Kawasaki Concours comfortable?
Overall, it is very comfortable and has more than enough performance. The heat and cornering are issues but not major by any means. I’ve had lots of bikes and lots of miles. You’ll be very happy with the Concours 14.

The Concours was born in an era of ceaseless model changes that left some riders complaining that their just-bought bikes were old hat before the new wore off. In response Kawasaki pledged not to change the Concours for five years. Despite the promise, the second-year Concours got higher bars and a less turbulent windscreen—but no one complained.
Are there any problems with the 1986 Concours?
The 1986 Concours had problems with soft valves suffering “tuliping” (the valve edges rolling into a cupped shape). If worried, a leakdown test will reveal it. There are camshafts (all model years) that show scuffing and pitting of the lobes but I know of no engines self destructing because of it.
How high is the seat height of the Concours?
The Concours’ seat height is 31 inches but there are ways to lower that an inch or two. Getting your feet firmly planted on the ground is important. Padding around with your feet means watching where you step. One false move and down she goes. Gravity never sleeps. I don’t like the riding position of Sport Bikes.
