How do I get to Makapuu Lighthouse Trail?
Take the number 22 or 23 Oahu Bus from Kuhio Ave in Waikiki, headed in the direction of Diamond Head. Depending on traffic, it should only take about 1 hour to 90 minutes to arrive at the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail. These buses run on the hour during weekdays and about every half hour on the weekends.

Makapu’u Point Lighthouse trail is one of my favorite hikes I did while on Oahu. The trail is pretty easy to follow, paved, and a slow steady incline all the way up. The trail is about two miles round trip. Once you reach the top, you can either hike to the lighthouse or go back downhill the same way you came up.
