The EIA Source Code is a numeric symbol that was assigned and registered by the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) that could be stamped or marked on any or all products to identify the production source or the vendor assuming product responsibility.
What are speaker channels?
Overview. A channel is a representation of sound coming from or going to a single point. A single microphone can produce one channel of audio, and a single speaker can accept one channel of audio, for example. A digital audio file can contain multiple channels of data.
How do you read transformer numbers?
The VA rating of a transformer means Volt-Ampere, and is often given as the amount you can take out on the secondary. It is just the numbers multiplied. A 40VA transformer with one 10V output will be able to handle 4A on that output. A 28VA transformer with two equal 14V windings will be able to output 1A on each.
How do I find out what year my Eminence Speaker is?
The spec number will begin with the size of the speaker (i.e. for a 10″ it would be 101123). The manufacturing/date code number is as follows: The “67” tells you that the speaker was built by Eminence, the “01” indicates that the speaker was built in 2001, and the “12” means it was built the 12th week of the year.
Why are there no markings on my Eminence speakers?
If there are no Eminence branded markings on the speaker, then you likely have an OEM customer’s proprietary design. Any specifications, warranty issues, or questions should be directed to the OEM company that sourced the product from Eminence.
