Trailer :

Amazing film that this Snow White and the Huntsman. Indeed, one would rather want to talk badly such a troll on Kristen Stewart, escape from Twilight, and desolate to see Chris Hemsworth being locked into a role in Thor, wonder what that Charlize Theron was going to book us after a Prometheus objectionable, or even ask if it was still up to us to impose an adaptation of Snow White after a version totally indigestible by Tarsem Singh release very recently. And yet…

And yet, despite a few lengths, and the obvious defects they are of characterization (as a Snow White who recites one Our Father from the very first scenes, accentuating a small side Joan of Arc) or achievement (the ease of the trick shameless to present very often, the Dwarves, and interpreted by, among others, Ian McShane and Toby Jones, with his or her back, either above the waist), this long film has an identity and a rhythm found. Based very much on the opposition of two women, the Queen, interpreted in a way that smashing by a Charlize Theron inhabited by the role of woman as demonic, but broken and haunted by the gaze of the other, and Snow White, in a kind of initiatory quest, the action of this film is split into several acts incorporating the tale in its entirety, but adapting and adding to them some elements are fairly happy with this : good ideas are in this scenario as the explanation of the haunted forest, the motives of the Queen, his brother, randy, etc

Neither a masterpiece, nor is it a junk movie, Snow White and the Huntsman is an entertaining and very honest, without the glow, takes the viewer in a familiar universe while the surprising little touches.

Similarly, visually, the modern twist of this version, gothic and rhythm, contrasts with the version Bollywoodienne which has recently been released. Of course, with $ 170 million in this long film as opposed to 60 million for the film with Lily Collins and Julia Roberts, in addition to casting more rich, the visual effects are very convincing : the manifestation of the powers of the Queen, of his age as the composition of the region of the Fairies is a feast for the eyes and is quite inventive (in any case, in the film live, because some views are given to the Miyazaki, Princess Mononoke, more precisely).

In the end, apart from the budget, the main asset and the main flaw of this Snow White and the Huntsman : the patchwork of influences and references is reminiscent of many other films or universe audio-visual, and no doubt where some will see a very original version of the tale, others see it as an assortment of scenes already seen applied to a scenario already worn down to the marrow. In fact, if there is neither a masterpiece, nor is it a junk movie, Snow White and the Huntsman is an entertaining and very honest, without the glow, takes the viewer in a familiar universe while the surprising little touches.
