The 11th edition of the Festival of the TV Fiction” will be held September 16 to 20, 2009 in La Rochelle….
The Festival has become one of the major events of the television, mainly due to the presence of a growing number of participant. The 2009 edition has registered more than 15 000 entries for the general public.
As every year, the Festival will present a selection of fictions in francophone new in competition and out of competition, without forgetting the selection of the best works from 8 european countries. For this edition the Festival will also honor the african production and quebec through special screenings.
The Festival is a meeting place for the general public and professionals through the organisation of readings, scenarios, round table discussions, pitching of the authors, autograph sessions with, for example, Corinne Touzet, Frederic Diefenthal, Bernard Le Coq, etc., But it is also the venue for professional meetings, in particular through the Great Debate, which will focus on critical issues affecting the audiovisual sector and which will take place on Friday 18 September in the morning with the participation of many personalities.
The Festival is an eagerly awaited and recognized, bringing together all the fields of audiovisual creation at the time of the return diffusers. He is there to meet this expectation while opening to the public at large.
To mark the occasion, the Festival of the TV Fiction” has undertaken this year to become one of the first festivals in france to communicate via a spot web dedicated. It thus goes beyond the threshold of simple displays, to increase its notoriety as a general public via the web community. It is the collective lestroiscousins (Sam & Jo Dubruque) which, in addition to create the poster of the 2009 festival, has been commissioned to design and build the spot. They have imagined a true choreography of an eye, in close up, filmed in black and white music, topped of violins. The signature “beauty is in the eye of the one who looks” punctuates the whole. Through this message, the Festival of the TV Fiction” account bind of emotion in the general public, which is intended in the end all the wealth of fiction for French-language television. A way for the Festival of the TV Fiction to refocus on its reason to exist : to acknowledge the fiction in francophone creates the emotion in the eye of the public and professionals.
Filmed in real time, it took more than a week of shooting intensive to get the choreography of the eye perfect and in rhythm with the movements of the music. The goal is to bring the viewer into an emotion that is certain, and that he feels the slightest flutter of lashes as the lower fold of the eyelid.
